We select prime beef from a number of farms in South Lanarkshire and from the Strathaven area in particular. The parish of Avondale for centuries has been renowned for producing beef that is tender with great flavour. This is due to the permanent lush pastures with a mix of grass including rye and clover on which the cattle are grazed.
